Day 22 is either going to take forever or will take you two minutes. If you have four email accounts with thousands of emails like yours truly, then brace yourself.
So here’s the deal. This is going to take awhile because you have to make sure you don’t delete important stuff. It’s either that or just completely reset your account and get rid of everything… Which might hurt you later. I don’t know. It’s your call.
The thing about having a ton of emails is that it can seriously affect your ability to be find what you need and respond to people in a timely fashion. Plus, who likes to see that little bubble that says you have a million of unread emails on your phone?
If you’re getting a lot of junk mail, be sure to mark them as spam so your email provider knows not to let emails from those folks through anymore. Empty the spam folder while you’re at it.
From here on out, I promise to read emails once a day and respond immediately, mark them as spam/important/etc, and put them in appropriate folders. You should do the same.
My husband is so good about keeping his emails tidy. I never thought I’d be asking him for organizing tips, but my personal email accounts are a mess. Thankfully my business and blog accounts are up to speed.
