We’re on day 15 and today is the first part of toy organization. I suggest getting your kids involved in the process, BUT I totally understand if doing this solo is the best way to avoid epic meltdowns. Don’t have kids? Pets? Go ahead and mark today as one bag or concentrate on a different area of your home. Meet me back here for day 17.
Today is going to be relatively simple. Keep, donate, and toss piles. The reason I recommend getting kids involved is to spare the possibility of getting rid of something the really love. After getting toys sorted, it’s time to sanitize everything. I like to put blocks and other small plastic toys in a mesh delicates bag and toss them in the dishwasher’s top rack. I put larger plastic toys without batteries on the bottom rack. I do a quick cycle without the heat dry option.
Make sure to wipe everything else down. Germs can be real jerks this time of year.
Meet me back here tomorrow for part 2 of toy organization.
