I’m going to keep today’s backlighting Snap Happy Friday short and sweet. I’m currently designing and coding two of my business sites, so I have tunnel vision. Forgive me?
These photos were all taken on the same day in the same area right before and right after my morning and evening client sessions. I’m really comfortable with backlighting when it comes to portraits. It gives just enough haze, hair light and that feeling I love for my client sessions to have.
I’d absolutely classify my editing style as “clean”, especially when there are faces in the picture. I figured I’d stretch myself a little bit and give more “artistic” editing a try. I’m not going to lie, it makes me really, really, REALLY uncomfortable. I edited them all differently. The jury is still out on how I feel about the way I edited these photos for this post. ** This is why I tell my husband that I will never stray from my editing style for clients. You never want that “I don’t know if I like it” feeling.”
All photos are Canon 6d / 50mm 1.4 / ISO 100 * f/3.5 * 1/400 sec

You can see how I would usually edit the above image in a very similar shot in this post.

Last week’s featured image is by Bethany from More Than Just a Page with her dragon [FLY] entry. ** Flickr was down and I couldn’t link the image. So sorry!**
Also, this will be the last Snap Happy Friday on this blog. I just started a new blog specifically for my photography, so I’m going to migrate this link party over there as soon as I finish designing it. I’ll share the URL as soon as possible. Almost done!
Next week’s theme is TEXTURE.
