The new house has dark hard wood floors on the bottom level and I’m having the hardest time picking a rug. I really want a light colored rug to help lighten the space up, but then there’s the whole messy toddler/preschooler situation. A natural fiber jute or sisal rug seems like the budget friendly choice and it’s what we had in our apartment in Seoul, but it’s not very comfy. I’ve narrowed the choices down to these four living room rugs. Help me choose!
All of these are from Rugs Usa (this is not a sponsored post). The reason I chose them for living room rugs was simply because of the options available. They’re also having a really good sale right now and they have free shipping within the US. It takes the sting out of having to buy an 8×10 rug. I really like this grayish diamond patterned fiber rug from Pottery Barn over the one pictured, but I wonder if the thin lines would give me a headache after awhile.
One thing deterring me from getting another jute or sisal rug is that they’re nearly impossible to clean. Red wine? Game over. Then again red wine pretty much destroys everything.
Which do you think is better with our leather sectional? A comfy shag rug, low pile geometric, natural fiber diamond pattern, or chunky budget friendly jute rug?
