I’ve mentioned endlessly on my Facebook page that I scored a Pottery Barn Kids sleigh crib at LCM for $8 a little over a month ago. This is the crib except it was in the “Sun Valley Honey”.
Honey colored furniture is my least favorite finish for newer furniture (I think it looks amazing on some older antiques) and I really loved the creamy white in the photo above. I’m waiting on the poly to cure at this very moment and am in search of modern vintage nursery/toddler room ideas while the little one naps.
I really love the light look of all the furniture and the color combination. I have a special weakness for white, green and blue together. I especially love the dresser. We’re in need of a little more storage and I’m going to have to find a dresser just like this pronto.
I’m also in love with the bold patterns and mix of colors in this room. I’m really over the light pink & blue combination going on in her room right now. The picture below was taken right before V was born. Her room looks much different now, but you get the idea….
I was on bed rest and completely undecided on what exactly I wanted to do. We were in CA for just 3 weeks before I was put on bed rest. There were a lot of canvas painting projects instead of painting walls. Plus, we were on an insane budget right after the move. Moving from a one bedroom apartment to a three bedroom house means a lot of furniture needed to be purchased in a very short amount of time.
I’m in need of some serious inspiration. Do you think I should go with a theme like the first inspiration photo or for a more bold eclectic mix like the second photo for my daughters updated toddler room?
