Life is messy. Life with two toddlers can get EXTRA messy. Some of my favorite memories with my children involve some sort of mess. Spaghetti, painting, makeup and my favorite… eating washable crayons. Both kids have been guilty of the latter.
It’s easy to avoid messy activities with your children. Who really enjoys the cleanup process, right? I know I don’t. Not a single bit. If I tried to stop my children from making a mess, I wouldn’t have those memories. Plus, cleanup is much more enjoyable when making a mess is fun. So I’m asking to to embrace the chaos with the Get Messy Contest sponsored by Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day.
Mrs. Meyer’s has activities and ideas for you and your kids to get messy with crafts, in the kitchen and outdoors to help you create some fun memories. What’s in it for you? Well, it’s pretty epic. Mrs. Meyer’s is giving away one grand prize (2 days left for all new kitchen appliances and up to May 9th for an entire greenhouse and veggie garden) and an awesome catered party for you and 30 guests as well as over 30 prizes for finalists that includes buckets full of Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day goodies. All you need to do is enter your messy photos to Get Messy Contest and have your friends and family vote.
I’m also giving away one variety bucket full of Mrs. Meyers Clean Day products to one lucky reader. Just leave a comment with your favorite messy memory. Entries will be taken until May 31st, 2014 12am EST and winner will be announced June 1st, 2014.

My messy Memory is of my son when he would eat on his own and make the biggest mess. Their would be food everywhere in his clothes, floor and even places you would not believe. Having to see his smile and seeing him enjoying his food makes me smile. I know it was not fun cleaning up after them but seeing him enjoy his food or when he would fall asleep eating his food those are priceless memories I would not get back once they get older.
My son was also notorious for falling asleep mid meal 🙂
My girls have done their fair share of getting messy (one is napping right now with the remainders of lunch on her forehead), but the winner has to go to the dog. I was painting our guest room, when I set my brush on the tray for a bathroom break. Hubby came up to check on me and the dog followed. Hubby met me down the hall, while the dog made his way to the guest room. We discovered him rolling all over the paintbrush in the middle of the carpeted floor. White paint all over a brown dog (and beige carpet).

I’m sorry Heather, but I literally laughed out loud! I can just picture it!
My bubs is too young to make a mess but he sure knows how to lay one on us when changing his diaper! Pee and poo everywhere and by that I mean he somehow shoots poo and pee long distances and splatters anything or anyone in his path. Im a victim many times now.:)
Hahaha, I think most mothers can sympathize with your messy angst. Including me!
My Luke has his messy moments too! He loves rice, and he loves squeezing it…which means he later wipes sticky squished rice on his clothes. He hasn’t fallen asleep in his good YET, but I know it’s coming because he falls asleep in the highchair after eating.
Chocolate is another favorite of his. Can’t give him on tiny piece without him smearing whatever melted part he got on his hands onto his face! <3
One of my favorite messy memories was from my childhood. It was a rainy Saturday morning, my best friend had spent the night with me and we we woke up ready to play. We ran outside and immediately started to play, mud puddles were jumped in and splashed, and rain had never been so much fun!
I think my favorite messy memories all come from my kids. Although it’s irritating sometimes, they do the funniest things with toilet paper! Two that come to mind are the “yellow brick road” throughout the entire house, and one twin putting a toilet paper cast on the other…after x-rays on the toilet tank viewed through the toilet paper holder of course.
