I knew that I was going to do a rainbow paint party for V’s 3rd birthday at the beginning of this year. It just seemed right. She paints every single day. Sometimes on paper and a lot of times on her toes or in her hair. She’s definitely down for getting messy.
I figured I’d better take pictures for invitations and for our family yearbook. I absolutely want to remember this stage of her life. She’s still a toddler, but slowly becoming a little girl. I also wanted to be sure to capture her personality, which is boisterous, outgoing, and downright spirited.
I didn’t think it was a smart idea to use paint like this with my studio setup. It just had disaster written all over it, so I decided to take it outdoors. Our building is a “greige” color which is nice and neutral and bounced just enough light. I took her out behind our building and snapped away. Enjoy!
