San Diego makes is really easy to enjoy the weekends when the weather is pretty much perfect. I’m not going to lie, Seoul had some pretty terrible environmental stuff going on during early Spring. If it wasn’t the yellow dust, it was the pollution. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED living in Seoul and would happily move back if the opportunity presented itself. I just happen to appreciate sunshine and blue skies more than I did before.
We kicked off the weekend with a trip to Reuben H. Fleet Science Center at Balboa Park. Very kid friendly and the dome theater was great. If you’re going on a weekday (like we did) I suggest you wait until 1pm to avoid the field trip crowds and you’ll basically have the place to yourself.
We wandered around Balboa Park afterwards and V diligently picked fallen blooms off the ground. There wasn’t much, but she did hit the camellia mother load behind Spreckels Organ Pavilion. E ended up passing out on our walk, so we had to cut it short and head home. I must say that Balboa Park is insanely beautiful during golden hour. Can’t wait to shoot a portrait session here!
Our weekend was also packed with hockey, a trip to the beach, dinner with long time friends that included one REALLY delicious margarita and some backyard kbbq. Marinated Korean pork jowls may be V’s new favorite food.
I also spent a tiny bit of time trying to get my second blog up and running. I’ll be sure to share more details once the first blog post goes up sometime this week.
Hope you had an amazing weekend!
