Although my husband and I use our online banking accounts to organize our finances and figure out what we spent our money on, I like to plan ahead for the next month to keep the budget on track. Plus, all that accounting in college permanently engrained ledgers into my brain. I simplified it for you because let’s be real, not everyone geeks out over debits, credits and tax season. Is it weird that tax season is my favorite time of year?
Anyways… I’m all about goals and I’m sure you have some financial goals of your own. I left a little space on the right for you to think about “goal getting”. Retirement contributions, savings, college, vacation funds, etc. Writing down financial goals is a great way to help you stay on track and avoid excess spending.
There is also a little note section. I use mine for jotting down reasons I went over budget on the groceries, reasons for unexpected expenses, previous balances, etc. What I jot down varies by month.
