I completely forgot to make a meal plan this week because of birthday festivities and last minute crafting. And to be honest, I really need it. I was saved last week by eating leftover Coconut Chicken Curry for two days and going out to eat. Not going to fly this week. The mister is working extra long hours for awhile. He didn’t even get to see E yesterday. The day the little dude learned how to give kisses on demand AND stand solo (look ma, no hands!). I did run the little guy downstairs this morning to show P the awesome new baby kisses E dishes out before he left for the day.
I can’t complain though. P will probably be deploying right after our next move. Grateful he gets to come home daily for at least the next year. The only major thing that changes when he works long hours is my motivation to cook. This is why a NEED a meal plan, but I totally suck at preparing and executing said meal plan.
I suck at a lot of things in addition to meal planning. I suck at doing the dishes. But I’m getting much better. I suck at folding laundry. This will probably never change. I suck at cleaning bathrooms. Well, technically I don’t suck at it, but I hate doing it. Gross.
Noticing a trend here? Basically I’m trying to say that I’m the worst housewife, EVER. But in my defense, I am an awesome cook (when I try). And I take pretty epic pictures of my kids doing silly/adorable/messy things. Hopefully those and my charming(ish) personality are enough to keep my husband around. Oh, who am I kidding. It’s my awesome rendition of “Tuts My Barreh“.
I promise to have a legit meal plan for next week. For now, I leave you with a photo of the Coconut Chicken Curry I made last week. So yummy. Adapted from the BHG Chicken Curry Recipe. I just added steamed cauliflower and peas to the recipe right before serving.
So, fess up. What are your weaknesses? Strengths?
