Well, it’s been a few weeks since my last post. I’ve been distracted with the whole rebranding/new blog shenanigans and spending time with family. I officially finished designing the new space. It’s so shiny and clean! Can’t wait for you to see it! The last thing I need to do is move all the content from here, over there and make sure every.single.link works. Thankfully, I hired a professional for that. The thought of doing that myself gives me a headache. Here is a little sneak peak of the new site, August Joy Studios.
Excitement is an understatement. The new site runs like a dream. It’s so FAST and web optimized. Just a few more days until everything gets moved over.
We also went on a little family vacation to Cebu, Philippines last week. We’re from Florida, so the sunshine and warm weather was just what we needed. Korea has been having some really terrible pollution this winter. Clean air was literally refreshing. Fresh watermelon juice and crystal clear water helped too.
The mister had been searching deals and reading reviews on all the different resorts on the island. He was able to find a ridiculously insane deal at a 4-star resort (Bluewater Maribago Cebu) that included a breakfast and lunch buffet. He also nabbed a steal on the airline tickets, but the catch was that we had to take the red eye. Yeah…. not so great when you have a teething toddler. Exhausting flight was the price we paid for one glorious week in paradise.
This was definitely the nicest vacation we’ve ever been on. We probably won’t be going anywhere this nice again for a VERY long time. I’m so grateful we got some time away to travel and the kids loved the beach. The water was so still that you could take pictures of sea life. So many critters. We found a crazy eyed conch, starfish galore, several crab species, snails, and even a few scary sea urchins. We loved it!
All the warm weather has me looking forward to moving back to California’s perfect sunshine and west coast beaches. Can’t believe we’ll be moving again in just six months. Yep, six months. It feels like we just moved to Korea.
Every move comes with a major purge, so there will be a lot of simplifying posts headed your way.
When was your last family vacation? Have any fun trips coming up?
