Now that we know our new house has a large loft, I can go ahead and start making plans for the space. The plan is to have a colorful play room on one end of the loft and an office/studio space for me on the other end. I was thinking about using the campaign desk and grey chair I have now, but they’re a little too masculine for what I have in mind for the space. I’ll most likely be moving those pieces to our master bedroom so it’ll serve as a desk and vanity. I really want a gold and lucite office space with bits of pink, black and white to balance everything out.

All of the smaller desk accessories are super affordable. That pencil sharpener, I die! This photographer couldn’t resist adding it to the bunch. I love that the gold Kate Spade tape dispenser and stapler are under $30. I’ve seen them around the web and I always thought they would be super pricey because Kate Spade isn’t exactly known for being affordable. At least for me anyways.
I couldn’t make up my mind about the desk though. They’re both about the same price. The only thing I dislike about the gold a-frame desk is that it doesn’t have drawers. I need a place to store my clutter. Do you prefer the one with the gold legs or the campaign style desk?
I would love to add a real ghost chair to the mix, but having the real deal isn’t important to me. Especially considering the price. I’ve seen some pretty good replicas for a third of the original price. Now I just need to hunt one down that’s the right scale for the desk I choose. I also need to find a shelf of some sort to store important papers and keep things away from my little mess makers.
