For those of you who don’t know, the weather in Monterey is pretty boring to say the least. It’s almost always 65 degrees with overcast all year, but September brings amazing weather our way. I like to walk on the trails with my kiddo in the mornings since: A) I’m not a morning person and my kid is and B)It’s hard for me to keep up with her high paced playing while I’m getting my caffeine fix. The walks keep her entertained and gives the caffeine some time to work it’s magic. Plus, exercise is good for you. Here are a few snapshots.
Yep, she’s in her pj’s, but I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a morning person. Don’t judge. Plus, she’s nice and cozy in her fleece footies and saves me from picking up blankets she throws overboard. This is the view I pretty much get everyday. She loves cruisin around in her stroller and she’s super goofy.
The walking path here is amazing and takes you down to the beach. I really should take advantage of the fact I live less than 5 minutes from the water. The Pacific is nice to look at, but way too cold to play in.
Lover’s Point & Pebble Beach is that way. Maybe I’ll take you on a picture tour of Pebble Beach sometime soon.

Baby girl was getting bored on the walk back to the car. She’ll actually sit back in her seat, but with her legs crossed and “lounging”. She also likes to stick her tongue out for fun.
I have a lot of projects that I need to finish up. DIY blue mason jars tomorrow! Also, I caved in and bought Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint (ASCP). I literally can’t wait to paint furniture with it. Getting ASCP will probably put me into a painting frenzy and I’ll finally finish all the pieces I have in the garage. I’ve been told that I’m not allowed to buy anymore furniture or antiques until the ones I have are either sold or brought into the house. *sigh* I did break the rules on Saturday and came home with a $7.50 antique credenza/stereo cabinet with claw feet while the hubby napped at home with the baby. I just couldn’t walk away from that deal. That post will come a little later when I finish that piece.
Hope everyone has a great day. I’m off to make some southern style biscuits and gravy, YUM!
