Bargain Hunting

A few years ago, you’d never find me in a thrift store or consignment shop.  I’d pick up a few things here and there off of Craigslist, but never stepped foot into a Goodwill until my hubby started pushing for me to go with him. My husband and I are not huge spenders, so when I started embracing thrift stores and finding what my husband likes to call “gems”, we’ve started to get some great finds.  Last week, we found a bunch of vintage looking silver serve ware that we’ll be using for our daughter’s first birthday party. We’ve decided on a vintage tea party. Mostly I decided, but the husband gives his approval.
So, this brings me to what I found yesterday on the street…..

Our neighbor was trying to sell it quickly since her preteen daughters decided that it was time for a room makeover. Lucky me! We literally picked it up minutes later.  I think this desk has a great set of bones with a very terrible paint job.  Since my baby and business come first, this will have to be my weekend only project.  It may take me a month, but I’ll have the coolest craft table in town!
